B2B Social Media Presence in 30 Days: Week 2

Welcome back everyone.

This post documents Week 2 of our How to Build a Social Media Presence in 30 Days campaign. We’re re-positioning our lead generation tool EchoQuote™ under the new umbrella name LeadLifter™ and are documenting our social media campaign along the way. The setup is done and now the real work begins…enjoy!

Please follow Leadlifter on twitter because that is where we are going to post subsequent weekly updates for this social media “diary”.

Note that this is a full 7-day week; social media never sleeps!

Day #1  – 9/19/11

~ Sign up for accounts and Connect; Twitter, LinkedIn, FaceBook and Fanpage, MerchantCircle, Focus, Plaxo, Ping

~ Keyword research for LeadLifter and B2B Companies seeking to land for adding followers and friends in networks.

~ Set up keywords for Google Alerts (daily); respond as needed

~ Invite Friends MerchantCircle using keywords until daily Cap is met.

~ Follow Twitter users using keywords.

- Twitter -> LinkedIn Company Page, LinkedIn User page, Facebook, Plaxo

- FaceBook -> MerchantCircle

- Ping -> FB FanPage, Twitter, LinkedIn User, PlaxoPulse

~ Test connections between accounts by sending a Tweet thru Twitter. Adjust as needed.

~ Test Ping with message. Adjust

**** Follow/invite social network users. Reason being people are reluctant to follow/connect to social networks unless they have a decent following due to credibility. This will assist with clients/leads to join our networks once we do an email blast.

Day #2    –   9/20/11

~ Sign up for bookmarking sites; Reddit, StumbleUpon, Technorati, Delicious

- Post Link to all

~ Submit to Search Engines; Google, Yahoo, Bing and Dmoz directory

~ Create Local Business Listing; Google, Bing, Yahoo

~ Follow Twitter users using keywords. Follow back users.

~ Post Tweet on Twitter with Ping to get noticed

~ Invite Friends MerchantCircle using keywords.

~ Post Article to MerchantCircle using keywords

~ Brainstorm over blog topics

~ Set up local business ads via; Bing, Yahoo, Google

~ Submit website to search engines; Bing, Yahoo, Google, Dmoz

Day #3   –   9/21/11

~ Create Twitter Background with logo, description, contact information, network names

~ Invite Followers on Twitter. Follow back users.

~ Verify TrueTwit followers on Twitter

~ Post Tweet on Twitter.

~ Invite Friends MerchantCircle using keywords.

~ Update social accounts as needed for search results

~ Brainstorm over blog topics

~ Research high traffic sites and Create some backlinks

Day #4    –   9/22/11

~ Sign up for Socialoomph to auto follow new users and send Welcome Direct Message. Encourage follow on Facebook and promote YouTube “Welcome” video for overview of B2B solution

- Important to have auto follow and auto DM so once we begin have mass followers a day such as 100, 200, 300 it will lessen our work load.

~ Follow Twitter users using keywords. Follow back followers.

~ Verify TrueTwit on Twitter

~ Post Tweet on Twitter with Ping

~ Invite Friends MerchantCircle using keywords.

~ Which media outlet we should utilize for Twitter and etc; Leadlander, Marketo, Genius, Pardot, Hubspot, Mashable

Day #5   –   9/23/11

~ Socialoomph now has a monthly fee for auto follow and welcome DM so signed up for service  and setup auto follow and DM message. Now active.

~ Invite Friends MerchantCircle using keywords.

~ Post to Twitter with Ping

~ YouTube;

- Modified channel for best search results,

- Began inviting friends with keyword search and most recent

~ Requested to join relevant groups on LinkedIn

~ Activated Bing and Google local listings

Day #6   –    9/24/11

~ Continue inviting YouTube friends

~ Invite Friends MerchantCircle using keywords.

Day #7    –   9/25/11

~ Continue inviting YouTube Friends

~ Invite Friends MerchantCircle using keywords.
